Word Hurdle is made by a very small team. If something is broken, or you have lost something you paid for, write to us and a person will read it.
Please include your device model, your iOS version, and — if you have one — your player name. If the problem involves a purchase, the Apple receipt or order ID makes it much faster to resolve.
Things you can fix yourself, faster than we can
Restoring a purchase on a new phone, or after reinstalling
Open Settings → Restore Purchases in the game. Subscriptions and one-off purchases are tied to your Apple Account, so they come back on any device signed in to the same account.
Gems and progress are tied to your player account, not to Apple. If you signed in — with Game Center or an email — they follow you to a new phone. If you have been playing as a guest, they live only on that one device.
Getting your progress onto a new phone
Link an account before you switch devices: Settings → Link an account. A guest account exists only on the device that created it, and there is no way for us to recover one from a phone you no longer have — we cannot identify it, because we deliberately never collected anything that would let us.
Changing your player name
Settings → Player name. Names are unique, so a name someone else already holds will be refused.
Cancelling a subscription
iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. See Refunds and cancellations.
Deleting your account
Settings → Delete account. This is immediate and permanent — there is no grace period and no undo. Your account, your name, your progress and your leaderboard entries go, and we cannot reconstruct them afterwards. Purchases made through Apple are a matter between you and Apple, and deleting your account does not cancel a subscription.
Things worth knowing before you write
- A daily puzzle is the same for everyone, and it is decided by the date, not by us. If yours looks different from a friend's, check that your phone's date and time zone are correct.
- Your streak is counted by your own local midnight. Travelling across time zones can make a day feel shorter or longer than it looks.
- Ads fund the free modes. If you would rather not see them, Pro removes them.
Reporting a word
If the game accepted a word you believe is not a word, or refused one you believe is, tell us which mode and which word. We maintain the word lists ourselves and we do act on these.
If a word offended you, say so plainly and we will look at it. The lists are filtered, but no filter catches everything, and we would rather hear about it than not.
